Upper cervical (neck) care

The upper cervical area has the body's greatest amount of intricate nerves and nerve centers. It controls all the body's non-voluntary functions including breathing, heart rate, digestion, hearing, seeing, taste, feelings and mood, posture alignment and balance.

Whenever there is a misalignment of the upper neck area, there is usually a host of signs and symptoms that follow. The most common symptoms we see in our office are sidc degeneration of the neck or lower back, loss of balance, and dizziness.

Adjusting the upper cervical spine

The upper cervical area holds the skulls (and brain) which weighs approximately 9-14 pounds. The head's weight must be in perfect balance for the muscles arounf the spine to not feel strain and imbalance. When the upper neck os properly aligned, the rest of the spine and body are free to heal.
